1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using MarkdownForge (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The service

MarkdownForge provides free, browser-based tools that convert files and URLs to Markdown. Conversions run on your device; we do not store your files. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

3. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service for any unlawful or infringing purpose.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service or its supporting infrastructure (including the CORS proxy).
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to convert any content you submit, including third-party URLs.

4. No warranty

Conversion accuracy is not guaranteed. Some formats — notably PDF — are inherently lossy, and complex layouts or tables may not convert perfectly. Always review output before relying on it. We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MarkdownForge and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

6. Intellectual property

The Service’s branding and original code are owned by MarkdownForge. Underlying open-source libraries remain the property of their respective authors under their own licenses. Content you convert remains entirely yours.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
